Check Up - GVM International

A targeted screening programme to suit all lifestyles

Since day one, GVM has been devoted to fostering a culture of prevention as a vital element in the promotion of health and quality of life.
Checking up on your health, knowing the risk factors and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are key to reducing the onset of disease, helping you make a rapid post-operative recovery and above all taking care of yourself.

Innovative prevention programmes with dedicated pathways

Our Check Up packages, put together by our specialists, include personalised pathways coordinated by a supervising doctor supported by multidisciplinary teams that will assist you throughout the diagnosis process.
They are recommended for prevention, especially in the presence of risk factors such as particular lifestyle habits, like smoking, an unhealthy diet and stress. And they also meet a variety of needs when it comes to major diseases.

Cardio Check-Up

The Cardio Check-Up is a prevention pathway for anyone wishing to check their cardiovascular health. This prevention programme makes it possible to assess all the main risk factors, detect the presence of arrhythmias, check the contractility of the heart, detect the presence of heart valve diseases and determine the health of the carotid arteries and the lower limb arteries.
All examinations are carried out in a single day.
The Cardio Check-Up consists of:
  • Blood chemistry tests
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Color Doppler Echocardiography at rest
  • Supra-aortic Trunks Color Doppler Ultrasound
  • Cardiac stress test with cycle ergometer
  • Coronary Arteries CT Angiography
  • Specialist examination

Gastrointestinal Check-Up

Gastrointestinal disorders can be caused by different factors of varying degrees. The Gastroenterological Check-Up allows diagnosis of any problems related to constipation or irritable bowel syndrome and diseases of a more serious nature due to benign or malignant neoplastic formations. Prevention can help in some cases to reduce the onset of these disorders and limit their consequences.

The Gastrointestinal Check-Up consists of:
  • Blood chemistry and laboratory tests
  • Diagnostic esophagogastroduodenoscopy including any biopsies
  • Diagnostic colonoscopy including any biopsies
  • Anesthesiological assistance for gastroenterological endoscopy
  • Histological examination of an endoscopic biopsy of the digestive system, multiple sites
  • Specialist examination

Gynaecological Check-Up

A complete pathway, just for women, for gynaecological prevention. The gynaecological check-up is designed to monitor women's health and well-being  in two specific age groups: childbearing age and menopause. The pathway includes specific examinations to evaluate neoplastic diseases, screening for gynaecological diseases and bone health. It is recommended for patients who have a family history of thyroid and breast diseases or risk factors such as stress, overweight, unregulated diet and smoking.
All examinations are performed in a single day.

PATIENTS UNDER 50
The check-up is for all patients of childbearing age, or under 50, and includes:
  • Blood chemistry and laboratory tests
  • Cytological Collection (Pap Test)
  • Bilateral Breast Ultrasound
  • Bilateral Mammography
  • Transvaginal Ultrasound
  • Gynaecological visit
PATIENTS OVER 50
The check-up is indicated for women in menopause, or over 50 years of age, and includes:
  • Blood chemistry and laboratory tests
  • Cytological Collection (Pap Test)
  • Bilateral Breast Ultrasound
  • Bilateral Mammography
  • Supra-aortic Trunks Color Doppler Ultrasound
  • Transvaginal Ultrasound
  • Total Body X-ray Bone Densitometry
  • Specialist visit

Urological Check-Up

This prevention pathway allows us to define the picture of a man's urological health  through morphological analysis of the prostate and kidneys and measurement of the main blood markers. The check-up is indicated for men over 40 years of age, particularly indicated for men with a family history of urological diseases or for men with risk factors such as smokingdiabetes and hypertension. The urological check-up includes:
  • Blood chemistry and laboratory tests
  • Uroflowmetry
  • Suprapubic Prostatic Ultrasound
  • Kidney ultrasound
  • Specialist examination

Nutritional Metabolic Check-Up

Metabolic disorders such as diabetes, abnormal cholesterol (dyslipidaemia), obesity, hypertension, hyperuricaemia and hepatic steatosis (fatty liver) are all considered cardiovascular risk factors. Being aware of your predisposition to these diseases allows you to adopt the relevant changes to your lifestyle and lower the risk of developing a metabolic disease.

This programme allows analysis of some of the patient's genetic markers in order to define a personalised prevention and nutrition pathway based on assessment of the risk of onset of diseases, intolerances and susceptibility to allergens.

All examinations are performed in a single day
  • Blood chemistry tests
  • Bio-impedancemetry
  • Molecular genetic testing (Nutrition Test,Gluten and Lactose Report, Prevention Test)
  • Specialist examination
