  • State-of-the-art digital angiography machine with flat panel detection system:

    highly technological equipment, it is a fundamental tool for in-depth clinical analysis and decisional support which, combining superb image quality with advanced software tools, can even achieve the three-dimensional reconstruction of the heart and of the entire vascular tree, often decisive for the diagnosis and treatment of the most complex abnormalities of the cardiocirculatory system.

    Starting from a mechanical structure capable of guaranteeing total patient coverage and maximum flexibility in terms of movement and positioning, the digital angiography machine offers interventional cardiology and electrophysiology operators the broadest spectrum of imaging solutions, from the traditional two-dimensional fluoroscopy images to the more innovative 3D images by means of rotational acquisition, to the benefit of medical practice. All in complete safety, for both patients and operators, thanks to a specific anti-collision system that identifies the actual contour of the patient and of any other obstacles, automatically causing the system to stop in case of potential critical situations.

    The digital angiography machine also has special measures aimed at combining the highest image quality with the lowest dose of radiation, such as double-filtering of soft emissions, real-time dosimetry displays and recognition applications, as well as automatic setting of the best quality-dose combination, as always to the benefit of patient safety and health.

    Finally, the software packages used guarantee the most advanced numerical and graphical functions, which go beyond the concept of visualisation and allow the operator to explore the produced image, to autonomously create specific sections of the vessel or of the heart structure, to monitor in real time the position of the catheter inside the vessel being examined, to plan the path to be followed in advance (optimising the position of the needle in case of percutaneous treatments) and to verify live the positioning of any stents, so as to be able to ensure immediately after surgery having achieved the final objective: the full effectiveness of the treatment performed.
  • Robotised digital angiography machine:

    This is found in the Hybrid operating room of Maria Cecilia Hospital - currently the first installation in Italy to pair robotised angiography equipment with an operating table - and it allows the best accuracy in the introduction of medical devices useful for treating serious pathologies with minimally invasive methods, representing the best of technological development in this field.

    Operationally speaking, this instrumentation guides the doctor in the interventional procedures, allowing him/her to perform "mini-invasive procedures"; in this way the surgeon does not have to intervene in an invasive way on the chest or abdomen, offering the possibility of easily converting mini-invasive operations that might become complicated into surgical operations in the same operating environment without having to move into the operating room. The patient is thus offered the highest possible degree of safety.
